India: Himachal Pradesh Mid-Himalayan Watershed Development Project

WASHINGTON, December 13, 2005- The following project was approved today by the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors:

 

IDA CREDIT: $60 million

TERMS: Grace period = 10 years; Maturity = 40 years  

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is designed to assist the Government of Himachal Pradesh to reverse degradation of its natural resource base, improve the productive potential of natural resources, and boost rural incomes.
