Conference on Accelerating Investment Climate Reforms in Bihar

Overview

This two day conference was co-hosted with the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar and organized by the World Bank Group.   The focus of the conference was to improve the overall regulatory environment for investment and growth of the private sector and to encourage investment in and growth of the agribusiness sector including the development of formal agricultural supply chains.  The conference brought together international and national experts in these areas to share lessons and best practices.  Break-out group sessions made up of representatives of Government of Bihar, private sector and international focused on building consensus on a number of issues to improve the investment climate in Bihar and recommendations.
